our service users' and we recognise that our staff are at the heart of ensuring
we do. One of the key ways we can achieve this is through Learning and Development.
As part of our commitment to staff and our service users, Future Home Care
believes that all staff must be able to demonstrate that they have the skills.
knowledge and understanding to ensure the highest quality support. To this end
we ensure that everyone has a specific learning pathway that not only incorporates
the mandatory learning but also supports individual development, ensuring that our
service users receive the quality of support they deserve. It is vital to have a competent, motivated and qualified staff team to provide the person centred support service users' demand of us.
Learning and development opportunities are not just about attending traditional
training events but we use other methods too such as distance learning, shadowing,
e-learning, work-based learning, coaching, mentoring and skill sets amongst others
to demonstrate competence. Specific learning opportunities are also identified through
supervision and personal development reviews. Staff are supported to achieve a
qualification relevant to their role, either via our assessment centre or other appropriate opportunities.
At Future Home Care we recognise that our managers need specific knowledge and skills to ensure that they can undertake their role effectively. Managers have a specific learning and development pathway which enables them to obtain the knowledge and tools they require to operate in a busy and rewarding environment. For staff who wish to move into a managerial role we are developing a leadership and management programme which gives them the opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills that this role demands.
To achieve this we have a team of highly qualified, experienced and motivated professionals who work hard to promote a positive learning experience for all staff.
